This is truly a sad day for those involved in the shooting at the elementary school in Connecticut. I heart cries out for the families and I ask all of you to join me in praying for them. I just can’t imagine what those people and parents are going through right now but I know a God that can comfort them in their time of need. The horror those students must have gone through today just can’t be fathomed by anyone who wasn’t there today.

For those who are grieving now remember Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Trouble may be around you but Psalm 138:7 says, Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.”

I know no words can heal your heart right now. Nothing printed or said can ease the pain you are going through right now but remember God has not forgotten you. We have not forgotten you and our prayers are going up for you. The last scripture I leave you with is one we use a lot here when prayer is needed. It is Isaiah 41:10 and it reads:

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
